Our Vision
"Lux Veritas" is a Latin phrase meaning "Light of Truth." Lux Veritas is dedicated to shining the light of God's eternal truth from the Holy Scriptures on issues facing Christians and the church today.
Lux Veritas, meaning “The Light of Truth,“ is more than just a name—it's our calling and our mission. In a world often shrouded in spiritual and moral darkness, we stand as a beacon, shining the light of God's truth into every corner of life. Our vision is rooted in the words of Jesus Christ Himself:
“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.“ (Matthew 5:14-16, ESV)
At Lux Veritas, we believe that the Bible is both the source of divine light and the ultimate truth. As the Psalmist declared:
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.“ (Psalm 119:105, ESV)
Our vision is to illuminate the path of righteousness, wisdom, and understanding for believers and seekers alike. We aim to be a trusted resource for those who hunger for deeper Biblical knowledge and yearn to view the world through the lens of Scripture.
Our Mission
The mission of Lux Veritas is threefold:
To increase Biblical literacy
To promote a Biblical worldview
To apply Scriptural wisdom to faith, family, and culture
Increasing Biblical Literacy
In an age where Biblical knowledge is waning, even among professing Christians, we are committed to reversing this trend. The prophet Hosea's words ring true today:
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.“ (Hosea 4:6a, ESV)
At Lux Veritas, we believe that a thorough understanding of Scripture is essential for spiritual growth and discernment. Our goal is to equip our readers with the tools they need to study, interpret, and apply God's Word effectively. We aim to foster a love for the Bible that echoes the sentiment of Jeremiah:
“Your words were found, and I ate them, and your words became to me a joy and the delight of my heart, for I am called by your name, O Lord, God of hosts.“ (Jeremiah 15:16, ESV)
Through in-depth Bible studies, exegetical articles, and practical applications, we strive to make the Scriptures accessible and relevant to all, from new believers to seasoned saints.
Promoting a Biblical Worldview
In a culture that increasingly rejects absolute truth, we stand firm on the foundation of God's unchanging Word. Our mission is to help our readers develop and maintain a Biblical worldview—a perspective that interprets all of life through the lens of Scripture. As the Apostle Paul exhorted:
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.“ (Romans 12:2, ESV)
We believe that a Biblical worldview is not just a set of beliefs, but a comprehensive framework for understanding reality. It informs our values, shapes our decisions, and guides our actions. At Lux Veritas, we explore how this worldview applies to every aspect of life, from personal ethics to public policy, from science to philosophy.
Applying Scriptural Wisdom to Faith, Family, and Culture
The Bible is not merely a historical document or a collection of moral teachings; it is the living Word of God, “profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness“ (2 Timothy 3:16, ESV). At Lux Veritas, we are committed to demonstrating the relevance and power of Scripture in addressing the complex issues of our time.
Faith
We delve deep into matters of Christian doctrine, spiritual growth, and practical discipleship. Our articles on faith aim to strengthen believers in their walk with Christ, equipping them to “contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints“ (Jude 1:3, ESV).
Family
Recognizing the family as the fundamental unit of society and a picture of God's relationship with His people, we provide Biblical guidance on marriage, parenting, and relationships. We uphold the sanctity of marriage as defined by God and offer practical wisdom for building strong, Christ-centered families.
“And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.“ (Deuteronomy 6:6-7, ESV)
Culture
As Christians, we are called to be “in the world but not of the world“ (John 17:14-16). At Lux Veritas, we engage with contemporary cultural issues, offering Biblical perspectives on topics such as politics, education, entertainment, technology, and social justice. Our goal is to help believers navigate these complex waters with wisdom and grace, always seeking to be “salt and light“ in a world that desperately needs both (Matthew 5:13-16).
Our Approach
At Lux Veritas, we approach our mission with the following commitments:
Biblical Fidelity
We hold to the inerrancy, infallibility, and sufficiency of Scripture. Every article, every perspective, and every piece of advice is grounded in and measured against the Word of God. As Paul instructed Timothy:
“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.“ (2 Timothy 2:15, ESV)
Intellectual Rigor
While we are unashamedly committed to the truth of Scripture, we also engage seriously with scholarship, research, and academic discourse. We believe that faith and reason are not enemies, but allies in the pursuit of truth. As Peter exhorted:
“But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect.“ (1 Peter 3:15, ESV)
Practical Application
Our goal is not merely to inform, but to transform. We strive to bridge the gap between theological knowledge and everyday life, providing practical ways for our readers to apply Biblical truth in their daily walk. As James reminded us:
“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.“ (James 1:22, ESV)
Compassionate Engagement
While we hold firmly to Biblical truth, we engage with differing viewpoints and controversial issues with grace and compassion. We seek to embody the spirit of Christ, who was “full of grace and truth“ (John 1:14, ESV).
Community Building
Lux Veritas is more than a blog; it's a community of believers and seekers united in the pursuit of truth. We encourage dialogue, questions, and respectful debate, recognizing that “iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another“ (Proverbs 27:17, ESV).
Our Team
Lux Veritas is a collaborative effort of Bible scholars, theologians, pastors, and Christian thinkers committed to the authority of Scripture and the historic Christian faith. Our team brings together a wealth of academic knowledge, pastoral experience, and practical wisdom to provide well-rounded, thoughtful content.

It is our prayer that Lux Veritas will be a tool in God's hands to bring light to darkness, truth to confusion, and hope to despair. May the words of the Psalmist be true of all who engage with this ministry:
